Having provided support for people in our community for over 30 years we know how important our services are to people. Please call us if you are self isolating and need support or if you are anxious about the current situation and need someone to talk to - we will help if we can
We will be closely watching government guidelines and reviewing the situation across Aylsham, North Walsham and the surrounding villages in order to ensure that the services we are able to offer remain safe in the circumstances.
We know there is an increased risk of more severe symptoms for those who are elderly or who have underlying health conditions.As we are currently not able to provide our usual range of services we are developing contingency plans to ensure that our clients can be supported at home.
We have suspended our lunch clubs for the time being but we know that people really appreciate a home cooked meal and we have put in place a lunch delivery service for those living in Aylsham and the surrounding villages.
Our dementia sessions have been suspended. If you or a family member have been attending these sessions and you need support, please call us and we will help if we can. for some people, just the opportunity to chat about their week makes a huge difference.
Our Thursday and Friday shopping trips have been suspended. If you need help to get some food or essential supplies delivered shopping, please call us and we will help if we can.
Medical car service
We will continue to provide this service to collect people from their homes and take them to hospital / dentist/ GP appointments. There may be some limits as the service will depend on the number of volunteers that we have available.
Our normal Wednesday social outings service has been suspended
Saxon Court Day Centre
We have have suspended this service. For our members,their days at the centre bring comfort, companionship and excitement and we know that they will really miss their days with us. We are currently developing contingency plans which will help us to continue to support our members and will release further details soon.
Orange Blossom Cafe
The ACT Centre and The Orange Blossom cafe is now closed following guidance around social isolation. Our Cafe staff are still working hard though to deliver meals to those people who live in Aylsham and the surrounding villages. We look forward to a time when we can reopen and welcome back all of our customers and community groups.
We will continue to provide our counselling service to existing clients. This may in some cases be via telephone link rather than face to face. Sadly we will not be able to take on more clients at the moment.
